"Anyone but You" is a romantic comedy. Bea meets Ben in a coffee shop when she urgently needs to use the bathroom. They have chemistry at first sight and spend the day together, eventually falling asleep on Ben's couch. The next morning, Bea leaves without waking him, but when she returns, she overhears Ben insulting her while talking to his friend, unaware that he is hurt by her sudden departure. Devastated, Bea leaves.
To ensure the wedding goes smoothly, the attendees devise a plan to get Bea and Ben together. Bea sees through the scheme and strikes a deal with Ben to pretend they are a couple. This is intended to make Margaret jealous and to stop Bea's parents from pushing her to reconcile with her ex, Jonathan. Their parents want Bea and her ex to rekindle their relationship. Their initial attempts to fake their relationship fail until a party on a boat where they dance and reenact a scene from Titanic, which ends with Bea falling into Sydney Harbour. They then make plans for a date to visit the Sydney Opera House.
